What is Junkologie? My new business name! I finally had enough (or too much!) stuff that it was time to sell. They say that's how you get started. "They" means pretty much every vendor I've talked to! So, I sold at my first flea market last Saturday (September 20). The flea market was hosted by Old Towne Antiques & Books in Duluth. Sarah Holm coordinated the event and it was so much fun!
My parents came up on Friday with some stuff they wanted to sell. We priced, and priced, and priced Friday evening. When RJNJ came home, we loaded, and loaded, and loaded. Up before dawn, we fueled up with caffeine and headed to the site. We were setting up in the dark at first. RJNJ was wearing his headlamp...wish I had a picture!
Below are some photos of the ground-breaking event. Here is our space...
Here are the people that made the event so fun!...

SNOWMAN HILL FALL SALE
SEPTEMBER 27 & 28
10 AM - 4 PM
4426 WEST TISCHER ROAD
DULUTH, MN
I also met Gail #2, who is the owner of Serendipity (4407 E. Superior St., Duluth, MN). Everyone at the Junk Bonanza was asking if I knew Gail or had been to her store. Well, I have met her and I will visit the store ASAP!
Now, I know I was there to sell. HOWEVER...one of the best parts of selling is being there early to see all the good stuff that your fellow vendors are pulling out of their vehicles. When I see something I love, I jump on it because it will be gone within minutes (I've learned that the hard way!). So here are the fab finds I brought home with me from the flea market that day...
A GREAT BENCH FROM SARAH.
A FAB-U-LOUS GROCER'S SCALE FROM A NEW VENDOR. NOTICE THE STAND UNDERNEATH...RJNJ SPOTTED IT AT AN ANTIQUE STORE THE FOLLOWING DAY. GOOD EYE, HONEY!
A STREET SIGN FROM THE VENDOR'S WHO SOLD THE SCALE.
"IDEAL ST."...WHAT A MOTIVATIONAL STREET NAME!
THIS GREAT CHAIR IS FROM SUE. I ADDED THE CUSHION FROM AN OUTDOOR CHAIR THAT WILL SOON BE PUT AWAY FOR THE WINTER.
And if you think that's it...you're crazy! I'm behind on my junking posts! I've been finding all kinds of great goodies. Be ready for all kinds of repurposing, makeovers, and projects that RJNJ and I will be working on when the Minnesota weather moves us inside for the winter months.
