Including Family Mementos in Your Decor

Did you notice this beach-going couple in the previous post? Those happy, gorgeous people are my grandparents. Right now, my grandmother is saying to my grandfather, "Oh, that Amy! I can't believe she put a picture of me in my swimsuit on the internet!" No worries, G'ma! You and your stud muffin were hotties then and are still hotties now!

I completely adore my grandparents. I don't get to see them very often, but I think of them every day. Thinking of them makes me smile, reminds me to appreciate each day, and lets me know that I am loved.

This lovely lady in the photo above was talked about in the last post featuring my Pottery Barn-Inspired Workspace project. This is my other grandmother, who passed away when I was about 12. She was a special lady, and I still love her as much as I did back then. She and my grandfather (sorry, no photo at this time!) used to travel around on a Harley! Sassy!!

Both sets of grandparents are inexplicably special to me. I treasure the black and white photos that have captured special moments in their lives. Making them part of my style and decor is so important!

Do you include special mementos
of your family in your decor?

Voting polls for Week 2 are open through Friday, March 12.
