I had some fun putting together this quick little floral arrangement. I thought I'd give you the low-down on the the process. I started with this vintage glass battery jar and a set of vintage scalloped flower pots. I wanted to raise one side, so I placed one flower pot upside down and simply set the other on top of it.

After the plants were set in the flower pots and the flower pots were nestled into the battery jar, I added some seashells to the mix. I simply placed them around the bottom of the jar until they looked nice.

While scrounging around in the garage for inspiration (everyone does this, right?), I found this Arcade ice pick that I had forgotten I had. Simply set into the mix, the ice pick just adds an unexpected industrial touch.

That's it. A simple mix of items grabbed from around the house and garage. The flowery plant on the left is actually a fake. :) That's why it looks so healthy. The wilty one on the right is a hardy little guy that has somehow survived my less than stellar watering schedule. Which reminds me...I need to water the plants again!

Here is the floral arrangement in its new home...with its one fake plant and all! :)

Are fake (faux) plants a "go" or a "no" at your house?
